Invitation

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our pleasure to announce that the 17th European Conference on Liquid Crystals (ECLC) takes place in June 1st-6th 2025 in Prague (OREA Hotel Pyramida).

Prague is an old city with many charms and historical places that has witnessed the history of European civilization. Thus, ECLC is not only a unique opportunity to discuss the newest findings in our field, but it also offers possibility to discover some places in one of the oldest university cities of central Europe. May the rich history of Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, trigger fruitful discussion shaping the future of Liquid Crystals.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Prague!

Co-chairs of the ECLC 2025 conference:

Alexej Bubnov, Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
Michal Kohout, University of Chemistry and Technology Prague
Vladimíra Novotná, Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences

History of the event

The series of European Conferences on Liquid Crystals (ECLC) is devoted to basic and applied aspects and advances of self-assembling materials – liquid crystals.

During last decades, these biennial conferences continue the tradition of the European Winter Conferences and provide an international forum to enhance the exchange of scientific ideas and technological advances in the field of liquid crystals and their applications.

This series of conferences was organized in odd years:
